Olivier Raymond is a French-Canadian industrial designer based in Montreal, Canada.

In 2017, he sets up his freelance studio, where he finds great joy in collaborating with different talents and skill sets from various fields. In August 2018, he was put in charge of co-conducting the Design Atelier’s at Université de Montréal, the most important french-speaking University in Canada.

Olivier is a graduate from ECAL (Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, Switzerland) where he completed his Master of Advanced Studies in Luxury & Design (MAS Luxe 2011). He worked in collaboration with some of Europe’s most prestigious brands such as Audemars Piguet, Baccarat, De Sede, to name a few.

Following the completion of his diploma, Olivier freelanced for Porsche Design (Sell Am See, Austria), where he also completed an internship of seven months. From initial ideation to final implementation using 2D/3D tools, he would be fully involved in the process, collaborating on over 32 projects in the span of a year. His clients would range from SAMSUNG to PORSCHE, as well as in house products for Porsche Design GmbH.

In 2014, he joins the “detailing branch” of the Interior Design department at Mercedes-Benz Design Headquarters near Stuttgart, in Germany. From future lineup of steering wheels and shifters, right up to the next car key - his work there focuses on delivering sensual aesthetics to essential functions.

Olivier strives at giving a sense of purpose out of shapes and materials. His projects range from industrial design to complete design strategy. It’s a chase for simplicity, where the complexity of industrial process fades into the background to reveal a precious experience, always intertwined with substance.

His way of work challenges a caring clientele interested in making a difference.
